Ancestors
Listed below are the names of the Qualifying Ancestors who have been approved through August 23, 2009, for membership in Presidential Families of America. If you are a direct descendant of any of these Qualifying Ancestors, then you share a collateral ancestry with the corresponding American President listed, thus qualifying for membership in Presidential Families of America.

Each President is paired with the ancestor from whom he descends. Each of the ancestors listed is believed to be a qualifying American ancestor. Where no page number is listed, no listing was found in the book for the ancestor-President pair. The list is only a partial one and does not yet contain all of the qualifying ancestors listed in the book. Moreover, the absence of a name from this list, or even from Roberts' book, does not necessarily preclude it from being a qualifying ancestor.
PFA hopes this list will assist many to become new members and will encourage existing members to add supplemental ancestors. Although PFA has done its best to be accurate, there may be mistakes (of inclusion and omission) in the list, which is only useful as a starting point for your research. All decisions on acceptability and completeness of genealogical proofs submitted with applications remain with the Registrar General.
